" Art is not a dead or an act recorded on paper or canvas,
nor is it finished when it's done.
Art has a life of it's Own.
Art lives on in the lives of those in whom it's seen;
before and after their first contact;
that person begins to ask question about why is that and what is this
and Their Life is never the same in the end, for better or for worst."

People of the World I have a question! -
If you are turned down for an art job because the client thinks that you are too good and they can't afford you.
a.) Are you charging to much for your work !?!
b.) Should you have more options to offer your would-be clients!?! or,
c.) Should you just be happy that anyone is actually talking to you!?!
You answer this question World. And let me know the answer. I will post the results here.
I will start a Noblelements question and answer day once a week
on Thursday to open up the door to the World's questions about
THE LIFE OF ART.

You pose a very good question Buddy... and one I've dealt with on numerous occasions. I've actually answered it all three ways! I don't think there is just one answer. Artists should be true to themselves and their art regardless of the "money" issue, however (!) - the bills gots to be paid so... for me, sometimes it's ok to charge less to build your business or portfolio or whatever and enjoy the PROCESS!! Yeah :) BTW - "Walk in the Woods" was my reading material last night and I have to tell you my credit rating is not too bad! A quote for you, to honor of this glorious Thursday evening:
Adopt the pace of nature:
her secret is patience.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Happy painting!
